
Woman charged with DUI
Palos Heights police arrested Angie D. Selmer, 38, of Oak Lawn, at 3:35 a.m. July 29 and charged her with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and improper lane usage after she was stopped for weaving in and out of her traffic lane in the 12500 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. Her court date is Aug. 12 at the Cook County 5th District Municipal Courthouse in Bridgeview.
In other Palos Heights police news, Jose Garcia-Moreno, 21, of Calumet Park, was arrested at 4:08 a.m. Aug. 1 and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage after he was stopped in the 12100 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is Sept. 10 in Bridgeview.
Phylicia B. Kic, 19, of Orland Park, was arrested at 1:10 a.m. July 31 and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage after she was stopped in the 12200 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said.
William E. Blazek, 25, of Chicago, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. Aug. 1 and charged with driving with a suspended license and improper turn after he was stopped in the 11800 block of Southwest Highway for making an improper right hand turn, police said. His court date is Sept. 18 in Bridgeview.
Bryan A. Fox, 21, of Palos Heights, was arrested at 11:31 a.m. July 28 and charged with driving with a suspended license and no front plate displayed after he was stopped in the 13100 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is Sept. 10 in Bridgeview.
Douglas J. Young, 48, of Crest Hill, was arrested at 3:03 p.m. July 30 and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for not wearing a seat belt in the 7200 block of West College Drive, police said. His court date is Sept. 10 in Bridgeview.
Paliris P Singleton, 21, of Blue Island, was arrested at 8:58 p.m. Aug. 1 and charged with driving with a suspended license and only one headlamp after he was stopped in the 6800 block of West College Drive, police said. His court date is Sept. 18 in Bridgeview.
Jihad Jibawi, 18, of Worth, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Aug. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license, uninsured motor vehicle and speeding after he was stopped for driving 56 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 12100 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is Sept. 18 in Bridgeview.

A decorative street light was found damaged at 3:20 p.m. July 28 on Shadow Creek Drive, police said.
One bottle of vodka was stolen from a grocery store in the 7100 block of West 127th Street at 2:24 p.m. Aug. 1, police said. The man was 18 to 20 years old and fled the store on a bicycle, according to police.
Graffiti was spray painted on a wooded fence behind the Indian Trails shopping plaza between July 30 and Aug. 2, police said.
