Driver charged with DUI

Palos Heights police arrested Ryan P. Shaughnessy, 28, of Worth, and charged him with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drugs after he was stopped for speeding near 115th Street and Harlem Avenue, police said. Shaughnessy was arrested at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. He has a court date of March 21 at the 5th Municipal District Cook County Courthouse in Bridgeview.

In other Palos Heights police news, Javelona Je Sazon, 21, of Worth, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. Saturday and charged with DUI, speeding and driving without insurance. He has a court date of March 21 in Bridgeview.

Ryan M. Phelps, 22, of Merrionette Park, was arrested at 1:12 a.m. and charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage after he was stopped in the 6600 block of College Drive, police said. Phelps has a court date of April 4 in Bridgeview.

Derek Howard, 39, of Matteson, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. Feb. 16 and charged with DUI and speeding after he was stopped in the 12800 block of Harlem Avenue for driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was also charged with failure to signal, according to the police report. Howard has a court date of March 13 in Bridgeview.

Daniel R. Stephens, 36, of Sauk Village was arrested at 7:31 p.m. Feb. 14 and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle after he was stopped in the 12100 block of Harlem Avenue. A registration check by police indicated the car Stephens drove was stolen, police said. Stephens was also charged with driving while license suspended, according to the police report. He has a court date of April 4 in Bridgeview. A passenger in the vehicle, Patsy L. Stephens, 41, of Sauk Village, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a peace officer. She allegedly ran from the vehicle in an attempt to avoid arrest. She has a court date of April 4 in Bridgeview.

David M. Krentkowski, 21, of Palos Park, was arrested at 1:43 p.m. Feb. 16 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped in the 7800 block of McCarthy Road for having a tinted cover on his license plates, police said. Krentkowski had a court date of Feb. 16 in Bridgeview.

Antoine Sneed, 32, of Chicago, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. Feb. 16 and charged with driving while license suspended, driving without insurance and driving without seatbelt restraint after he was stopped in the 6300 block of College Drive, police said. Sneed has a court date of March 21 in Bridgeview.

Jimmie Lenard Jr., 60, of South Chicago Heights, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and charged with telephone harassment after he placed numerous calls to his alleged victim’s workplace, police said. Lenard Jr. has a court date of March 13 in Bridgeview.

Yousef J. Zayed, 29, of Homer Glen, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving while license suspended after he was stopped for improper lane usage near 132nd Street and Ridgeland Avenue, police said. Zayed was also charged with driving without insurance, and driving with improper registration. He has a court date of April 4 in Bridgeview.

Gustavo Puentes, 29, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving while license suspended after he was stopped in the 12500 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said. Puentes has a court date of March 21 in Bridgeview.
