Joseph R. Blanco, age 66, passed away June 30 at his home in Brighton
Park.
Joseph was the son of the late Mary L. Frias (ne Lemon) and Genaro
Blanco; father of Amelia Blanco and Joseph Blanco; brother of Armanda Nation
(Gene), the late Jesse Nava, and Robert Nava; grandfather of Roscio, Yesenia,
David, and Santino; uncle, cousin, former brother-in-law, and friend to many.
Internment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

ROBERT “MATTHEW” CARR
Robert “Matthew” Carr, age 77, passed away July 21.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the
American Legion-Central Park Post 1028.
Loving brother of Jack (Florence) Carr, the late Phyllis Kunarz, Patricia
Carr, the late George Carr and Nancy Dobson. Loving uncle of many nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held July 25 at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home &
Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice. Funeral was held July 25 from the
funeral home to Sacred Heart Church, 8245 W. 111th St., Palos Hills for Mass.
Cremation rites to be accorded.

ADAM W. IWANIEC
Adam W. Iwaniec, age 60, of Justice, formerly of Chicago, passed away July
16.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Loving father of Monica, Natalia and Sebastian Iwaniec; devoted son of the
late Maria (nee Skupien) and late Stefan Iwaniec; dear brother of Miroslaw
Iwaniec, Ewa Wujkowski and Barbara Tomiczak; fond uncle of Robert, Darek, Danny
and Jarek; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held July 23 at Zarzycki Manor Chapels, 8999 S. Archer Ave.,
Willow Springs. Funeral was held July 24 from the funeral home to the Church of
Our Lady, Mother of the Church for Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Delores M. Kowalczyk (nee Kroll), age 86, of Brookfield, passed away July
22.

He was a member of the Bridgeview Senior Commission, Lay Minister of
Communion and Usher for Saint Fabian Church, Knights of Columbus, Former Auxiliary
Police Officer for the Village of Bridgeview, Retired Teamster of Local 710
Meat Cutters Union.
Beloved husband of Beverly (nee Sheppard); loving father of Cindy Anne
(Robert) Braun, Maureen (John) Berquist, Michael (Sheri) Lewis, Timothy Lewis
and Peter (Wendy) Lewis; dear grandpa of Michael John, Amber, David, Megan and
Jessica; dearest great-grandpa of Annabelle, Lealand and Jaxxon; fond brother
of Charles Lewis, the late Betty Jo Rainbolt, the late Patricia Schultz,

JAMES J. SUCHY
James J. Suchy, age 100, long time resident of Garfield Ridge community,
passed away July 26.
He was a decorated World War II Army veteran. James served
with General George Patton. He fought in the European, African, Middle Eastern
Theatres. He received seven medals while in the Army including the Bronze Star,
four overseas service bars, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.
Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Sowa); loving father of Patricia
(Frank) Lasick, Marilyn (Ronald) Rys and James (Marcia) Suchy; proud
grandfather of Ronald Rys, Lisa Rys, Amy Rys and Charles (Peg) Galey; great
grandfather of Ella and Charlie Galey; dear brother-in-law of Louie Sowa. James
will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
