Shirley was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 271, the South Suburban 8 & 40, American Legion Auxiliary 1st District and many years as Secretary for Brighton Kelly Baseball.

She will be missed by her numerous cousins and many treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, daughter Paulette, brother Jack and her sister-in-law Frances (Wilhelmy) and her husband Richard Mysker.
