John E. Cichocki, age 72, long-time resident of Justice, passed away in the early morning hours of June 28, due to complications from Cancer. US Army Veteran.

Survived by his beloved wife, Estela Cichocki, dearest brother, David Cichocki and dear stepson, Stephen Ayala. Treasured friend and neighbor to many.

Philip V. Gonzalez, age 85, of Chicago, Pilsen community, passed away peacefully at home with his lifelong partner, Virginia Cruz at his side.

He was the loving father of Monica “Mona” (Alberto) Jimenez and the late Philip Samuel Gonzalez C.P.D.; dear brother of Esther Gonzalez and the late Augustine (Lupe), late Salvator “Crow”, the late Herman Gonzalez, and the late Raul “Minnie” Gonzalez. Philip will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held July 18 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 West Archer Avenue (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held at the funeral home July 19 until time of prayers. Ted “Tadeusz” Marszalek, age 53, passed away June 27.

Loving father of Celestina Marszalek and Daniel Marszalek; former spouse and companion of Laura Marszalek; adored by his four-legged best friend, Oscar; cherished son of Zofia (nee Lyszczarczyk) and Stanislaw Marszalek; dearest brother of Mary (Janusz) Gasienica and Bozena (Bogdan) Augustyn. Fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Robert “Bob” M. Uher, 81, passed away July 18.

Bob was an Air National Guard veteran.

He was the beloved husband of Maureen, nee Erdman; Loving father of David (Faith) Uher and Jill Uher; Cherished grandfather of Lawsyn Uher, Maddi Liapis, Jimmy Liapis, Mystery Uher, Padon Uher, Aveah Uher, Josiah Uher and Gilana Uher; Dear brother of the late Dorothy (the late Fred) Schaeflein; Fond uncle of many; Best friend of Jack.

Bob was a member of St. Patricia Church.

Visitation is Thursday, July 22, from 3-8 p.m. at Lack & Sons Funeral Home, 9236 S. Roberts Road in Hickory Hills. Funeral Service is Friday, July 23, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Patricia Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment private.

Beloved husband of the late Jadwiga (nee Grochowska); loving father of Arkadiusz (Barbara) Wrobel and Emanuela (Kazimierz) Statek; dear grandfather of Lukasz Wrobel, Egon (Sylvia) Wrobel, Przemyslaw (Beata) Statek, Damian (Agnieszka) Statek, Mateusz (Paulina) Wrobel, Jadwgia Wrobel, Zaneta Statek and Stanislawa Wrobel; dearest great grandfather of nine; fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews.

AGUSTIN ZAVALA

Agustin Zavala, age 77, passed away July 9, surrounded by his loving children.

For over 40 years he was the devoted husband of Martha Reyes; cherished father of Alejandra (Roberto) Weber, Edward Zavala, Sergio (Katie) Zavala and Jacqueline (Luis) Juarez; proud and loving grandfather of Jonathan Weber, Adrian Zavala, Sergio Jr., Liam and Allison Zavala and Liliane Juarez.

Visitation was held July 16 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). A service in celebration of Agustin’s life was held. Cremation will be private.
