MacArthur Antigua, 79, of Palos Hills, passed away on December 25.

He was the beloved husband of Flordevilla Galinato Antigua, loving father of MacArthur Antigua, and Lora Lee Banzali; Cherished grandfather of Meera Antigua, Leela Antigua, Livy Banzali, Faryn Banzali, Zayla Banzali; devoted son of the late Marcial, Sr. and Paciencia nee Ycong; dearest brother of Tomasita, Francisco and Gemma, and the late Sister Mary Estelle, Sister Mary Immaculata, Sister Mary Marcia, Marcial Jr.

Visitation was December 30 with a Funeral Service at 5 p.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills.

Interment private.

Esther C. Atilano (née Calderon), 95, lifelong resident of the McKinley Park community, passed away peacefully December 21.

Esther was the beloved wife of the late Jesse Atilano; loving mother of Carmen Marose, Jesse J. Atilano, Bonnie (Jim) Ariel and Mark W. (Gina) Atilano; proud Nani of Michelle Marose, Michael (Barbara) Marose, Brandon (Cecilia) Atilano, Jesse Atilano, Simon Atilano, Charlie Atilano, Vanessa (Dan) Medlin, Natalie (Nate) Wolfe and Jason (fiancée Stephanie Reter) Atilano; loving great grandmother of Jake, Micaela, Issac, Isabel, Jayden and Harper; dear sister of Frank (Cecile) Calderon and Alfred (Rae) Calderon. Esther was loved and cherished by many friends, family, nieces and nephews.

Esther will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Jesse at St. Mary Cemetery. All services at this time will be private. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held December 30 at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice. Funeral was held December 31, prayers and procession from the funeral home to Saint Faustina Kowalska Church, 5255 S. McVicker Avenue, Chicago, for Mass. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.

Geny Dalla Costa (née Da Costa), 69, late of Orland Park, passed away on December 24.

She was the wife of Jim Dalla Costa; mother of Flavia (Alex) Becerra; grandmother of Alejandra Becerra; sister of Emival Da Costa, Marcia Williams, the late Eurivaldo (Martha) Da Costa and Marcos Da Costa; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Geny was a hairstylist.

Funeral Services were held on December 30 at Thornridge Funeral Home.

Interment Assumption Cemetery.

Carol Gress (neé Kasprowicz), 92, of Naperville, formerly of Chicago’s Clearing community, passed away peacefully December 22.

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Gress; loving mother of Alan (Katherine) Gress, Nancy (Robert) Stepusin, Daniel (Tamara) Gress and Jim (Maureen) Gress; proud grandmother and great grandmother of many. Carol will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Carol was a very dedicated and active member of St. Symphorosa Church, where she was involved in many fundraising and social functions. She was the Past President and longtime member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a Cantor and choir member for many years.

Visitation was held December 29 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. in Summit. Visitation was held December 30 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave, Chicago, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Loving mother of Monika (Krzysztof) Młynarski, Marcin (Marta) Hawryła, Małgorzata (Marcin) Wisniewski, Michalina (Kajetan Kopec) Hawryła, along with their father Władysław Hawryla; dearest grandmother of Oliwia, Daria, Szymon, David, Amanda, Adam, and Matilda; dear sister of Danuta (Mieczysław) Kubś, Mirosław (Teresa) Lewandowski, Małgorzata (Marian) Stawicki and Agnieszka (Tomasz) Kanigowski; devoted daughter of the late Zenobia (z domu Staniszewska) and Stanisław Lewandowski; fond daughter-in-law of Rozalia (late Josef) Hawryla; fond aunt of many.

She was the beloved partner to Edward McDermott; devoted daughter of the late Robert and Ruth nee Patrick Hoffman; loving sister of Maureen (the late Michael) Dildine and Susan Hoffman; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Fun Club.

Onofrio was preceded in death by his other siblings, Antionette, Frank, Angie, Joseph, Dominic, Benito, Michael, Franklin and Theresa.

She was the wife of the late Chester A. “Chet” Myjak; mother of Bob (Lynn), Jim (Suzanne), Beth (Dan) Murray, Bill (Carole) and Tim (Connie) Myjak; grandmother of Bryant (Jackie), Eric, Brad (Katie), Laurie (Noah) Thompson, Sandy (Eric) Sipes, Jimmy (Jessica), Courtney (David) Ferazza, Mitchell (fiancée Michaela), Julia (fiancé Ethan) and Jessica Myjak; great-grandmother of seven; sister of John (late Ruth) and the late James (Janice) Quigley; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen was a retired secretary at Mount Carmel High School with 27 years of dedicated service.

Funeral Services were held on December 29 at Thornridge Funeral Home.
