Get the scoop on college life at Lyons Township High School

Lyons Township High School students will have an opportunity to get a glimpse of college life at the annual College Fair Wednesday, April 6, from 6:30-8 p.m., at the North Campus Fieldhouse/Vaughan Gym, 100 S. Brainard Ave., LaGrange.
State schools, private colleges, community colleges, special interest schools, and the armed services will be available to help students and their families explore a variety of post-high school options. Big Ten and all Illinois state universities will be located in the Vaughan Gym, with all other post-secondary colleges/universities in the Fieldhouse.
College Night offers students an opportunity to meet representatives from 200 in-state and out-of-state schools, who will be prepared to answer questions about admission requirements, strength of a program or major, housing, financial costs and aid, as well as fraternities, sororities, and athletics.
All attendees must pre-register at www.strivefair.com to obtain a barcode that students may show colleges, who will scan it to send more information. Only student information will be collected by the colleges.
Counselors will be available throughout the evening to help direct students to colleges that offer specific majors. LT College Coordinator Lianne Musser suggests students examine the list of participating colleges and review suggested questions to ask, all of which is available on the College and Career Center webpage, which can be accessed through the LT website.
