County to vaccinate dogs, cats

The Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control has announced its 2022 Partners in Prevention clinic locations. ARC is partnering with local animal organizations to offer low-cost or free one-year rabies vaccines and microchips. 
Clinics are available to Cook County dogs and cats. Owners must bring proof of residency (driver’s license or state ID) to the clinic.
Microchips are administered for free at all clinics, and there is no registration fee. For more information about the microchips used, visit avidid.com.
Services are delivered to the first 100 dogs and/or cats in line. Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in carriers.
Sites on or near the Southwest Side in the next two months include:
- Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Harrison Park, 1824 S. Wood.
- Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wentworth Park, 5625 S. Mobile.
- Saturday, June 25, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 18th Ward Ald. Derrick Curtis’ Office, 8359 S. Pulaski.
