Argo girls track team wins Morton Invite

Argo High School’s girls varsity track team recently came in first place at the Girls Morton High School Varsity Indoor Track and Field Invite 2022.
Argo head coach Eva Manzke said, “It was our last indoor meet and we won at the varsity level. We competed against some higher-level teams such as St. Ignatius, Morton, and Hinsdale South to name a few.”

broke an Argo indoor high jump record that had stood since 1981 and was tied in 1986. She jumped 1.55 meters, that’s the equivalent of over 5-feet, 1-inch.
Argo came out on top with 144 points. Placing second was Hinsdale South in Darien, with 114 points.
This indoor season, which they just finished, was a busy one for Argo. They also placed second in two big invites. The Arthur Sullivan Invite and the Argo Invite.
The team started their outdoor season last month.
Manzke is proud of this year’s coaching staff. “Our entire coaching staff consists of alumni. Dave Harris-Distance, Trevon Bush-Jumps-Sprints and Tony Manjarrez-Sprints-Throws.”
