Orland Park police arrest 2 men for commercial burglaries
By Bob Bong
Orland Park police have arrested two men suspected of committing multiple commercial burglaries throughout the Chicago area and northwest Indiana.
Police have been hunting the men since they were believed to be responsible for a March 13 break-in at Binny’s Beverage Depot at 103 Orland Park Place.
Police said they responded to a burglar alarm on March 13 and found the front window smashed. Video evidence showed several subjects smash the front window with a sledge hammer and steal several cases of high-end champagne.
Investigators learned the subjects in the video were suspected of being involved in numerous other commercial burglaries.
Investigators identified two of the suspects as Darrell Keller, 37, and Raymond Andrews, 24, both of Chicago.
On April 21, a judge issued $100,000 warrants for both men.
On May 4, Orland detectives arrested Keller. He was charged with one count of commercial burglary.
On May 10, Orland detectives arrested Andrews. He was charged with one count of commercial burglary.
Both were ordered held on the original $100,000 bonds. Both men remain in custody at the Cook County Jail.
Keller’s next court date is set for June 2 at the Bridgeview Courthouse. Andrews is scheduled for a court date on June 1 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
