Police said an Elgin man was charged for firing a shot during a domestic disturbance on May 30.
Lazeric Lipscomb was charged with one felony count of Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Assault.
Police said that at 9:20 p.m. on May 30 they responded to the 10800 block of South Komensky for the report of a domestic disturbance where a shot was fired.
Upon arrival, the victim said she was having an argument in her driveway with her boyfriend, Lipscomb.
According to police, as the victim exited Lipscomb’s vehicle, he pulled out a firearm and fired off one round and threatened to come back and “Shoot this place up.”
Lipscomb then fled the area prior to police arriving.
