Comings & Goings: Buffalo Wild Wings Go opens in Hodgkins
By Bob Bong
A new concept by Buffalo Wild Wings is now open in southwest suburban Hodgkins.
Buffalo Wild Wings Go, a scaled down version of Buffalo Wild Wings that emphasizes carry outs and delivery, opened last week at 9404 Joliet Road in an outlot at the Quarry Mall.
The Hodgkins location is only the fifth in the Chicago market and only the 30th in the country since Buffalo Wild Wings Go launched in November. A south suburban location opened earlier this year at 2509 W. 95th St. in Evergreen Park.
“The company projects to have 2,000 stores by 2024,” said BWW GO Field Marketing Advisor Amanda Ramirez. Three of those are expected to open in the Chicago market by the end of this year, in Chicago and Elgin.
Other locations already open include Chicago’s Medical District, Desplaines and Melrose Park.
BWW Go features the same menu as a regular Buffalo Wild Wings but has limited seating, if any, and is primarily aimed at carryout or delivery thru Door Dash and Uber Eats, Ramirez said.
The Hodgkins location, for example, has six two-seat tables and a four-seat table.
Hours at the Hodgkins location are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
