Cunningham to host Shred Day, Mobile Health Screening and Prescription Take Back
State Senator Bill Cunningham will be joined by other Chicago elected officials for a shred day, mobile health screening and prescription take back event at Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences on Friday, Aug. 12.
“As we head into the height of summer it is important that we take time to check in with ourselves and our homes,” said Cunningham. “I look forward to meeting constituents while they take advantage of the community resources we have to offer.”
The shred day, mobile health screening and prescription take back event will take place on Friday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences in Mount Greenwood, located at 3857 W. 111th St. in Chicago.
Medical screenings, giveaways, and more will be available at the fair while supplies last. State Representative Kelly Burke, State Representative Fran Hurley, Alderman Matthew O’Shea, and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Kimberly Neely Du Buclet will attend and provide more information about state and local resources.
Representatives from local partner organizations will be present to provide information about their services at the fair, including the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Cook County Sheriff’s Department, and WE Work For Health.
