Response ‘smashing all expectations’

More than 200 people have already reserved seats at an upcoming Elvis/Motown show in Garfield Ridge, and only a few dozen tickets remain.
“The response is smashing all expectations,” said Geno Randazzo of All Exterior Contractors, the driving force behind the show. “If you want to be a part of the excitement, call today. Please don’t get left out.

“We decided to hold this in a venue that can seat 250 comfortably. But it looks like it’ll be standing room only. Next time, maybe we’ll rent Kennedy High School or an airplane hangar at Midway,” he added with a laugh.
Hugo’s Elvis, a rising young star who has even played Las Vegas, will perform for 90 minutes on stage at Our Lady of the Snows parish hall, 4810 S. Leamington, Saturday, Oct. 22. Doors open at 11:00 a.m., and attendees should arrive no later than 11:15. The show runs from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Then from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Motown tribute group Fred & Friendz will take everyone on trip down memory lane as it ran through the Motor City.
Those in attendance will enjoy a pizza lunch and beverages.
Just added is dessert: single-serving pies provided by the Fasano Pie Company, which decades ago was the Chicago area’s leading pie producer, with a huge bakery that ran around the clock at 65th and Melvina. It was reborn in recent years and today bakes pies with recipes unchanged since the 1950s.
Invited to the show are all local senior citizens, military veterans and first responders.
Reservations are required. To make a reservation, call the Garfield Ridge Satellite Senior Center at (312) 745-4255. There is plenty of free parking on the west side of the building (the Laramie side), which also is where the entrance doors are located.
There is no admission charge or charge for lunch. The show is paid for as a public service to seniors, veterans and first responders by Geno Randazzo of All Exterior Contractors, Mike Riordan of Mike Riordan State Farm Agency and Al Cacciottolo of First Rate Realty.
