Beloved wife of Gerardo “Jerry” Arteaga; loving mother of Jacqueline (Juan) Guerrero, Jesus (Karen) Arteaga and Magaly Arteaga; dearest grandmother of Vincent Arteaga, Victoria G. Guerrero, Maritza N. and Gracie M. Arteaga; devoted daughter of Magdalena (nee Hernandez) and the late Salvador Valerio; dear sister of Graciela, Evangelina, Maria Luisa, Luz Maria, Socorro, Samuel, Martha, Juan, Maricela and Margarita; dearly loved by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held November 27 at Zarzycki Manor Chapels Ltd., 8999 S. Archer Ave., Willow Springs. Funeral was held November 28 from the funeral home to the Church of St. Joseph in Summit for Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Valentine John Coler, 90, of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Rosemary (nee Wilhelmi) at his side November 28.
Loving and cherished father of Suzy (Joseph) Elizade, Michael (Lenea) Coler, Mary (late Gerald) Langland, Dr. Joseph (Dr. Wendi) Coler, Jackie (Joe) Malesich and Dr. Kathleen (Dr. Ernest) Monaco; proud and much loved grandfather of Dr. Mark (Dr. Lenglily) Elizalde, Sarah Elizalde (Bill) Mayer, Matthew (Elise) Elizalde, Mitchell Coler, Christina Wingfield, Rena Ramires, Mike Fuentes, Katherine (John) Kiwiet, Emily (fiancé Josh Bay) Langland, Chase Coler, Stefanie Coler, Christian Coler, Elle Coler, Joey Malesich, Alyssa Malesich, Ryan Malesich, Dylan Malesich, Kaitlin (Matt) Van Ormer, Kristin Belitz (fiancé Eric Zimmer), Katherine Belitz, Ernest Monaco, Karoline Monaco, Ethan Monaco and Kelli Monaco; loving great grandfather of Theodore, Rosaleng, Veralek, Lola and Gus. Valentine was preceded in death by his sisters, the late Marie (late Frank) Farej and the late Dolores (late Gus) Zidowicz. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Val was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Daniel Vincent de Paul Society, St. Daniel Parish Pastoral Council and the Holy Name Society.

Karol was the previous owner of the Blue Sky Lounge & Restaurant at 48th and Pulaski and Flamingo Café on Archer Avenue owned by his brother Joe.
Beloved husband of Anna (nee Pasciak); loving brother-in-law of Mary Pasciak; dear brother of Jan (Anna) and Jozef Czerwien; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Beloved wife of the late David J. Frey, III; fond mother of Dr. Joanne M. (Diantha McJilton) Frey and David J. (Chadwin Sneyd) Frey, IV; sister of the late Dorothy Woodford, Doris Weaver and Arthur Simpson; sister-in-law of Vera (the late Charles) Frey; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

(fiancée Lauren) Marciniak, Walter Seidler, Veronica (Johnny) Henderson and Monica (Alex) Tricroce, Sarah (Blake) Horton, Amanda Lawless, Lauren Grubart and Bryan (fiancee Alexis) Klippell; proud grandfather of Rachel Chlebek, Nicole Chlebek, Alex Schuirmann,, Johnny Schuirmann, Gabriella Curcio, Olivia Tricroce, Owen Tricroce, Lillian and Carter Henderson; dear brother of Donna (late Frank) Rogers, Linda (Dennis) Jeglinski and Kimberly Marciniak and the late Mimi Marciniak; fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. George “Freddy” E. McFadden, 64, lifelong resident of Bridgeview, passed away very peacefully September 29, after his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Beloved husband of Diane (nee Samatowic) McFadden for 36 wonderful years; cherished son of the late Margaret (nee Kenzinger) and the late Roland McFadden; dear brother of Thomas (the late Kathleen) McFadden, Roland “Bud” (Dawn) McFadden and the late Patrick (Sandy) McFadden and the Wisconsin Family; proud godfather of Robert (Cindy), Josh (Jurqita) Ryan and Meghann (Ryan). He will be missed by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

SHIRLEY F. NUCCIO
Shirley F. Nuccio, 80, of Summit, passed away peacefully November 23.
She was the beloved wife Blair Nuccio; devoted and loving mother of Susan Nuccio, Blair S. (Peggy) Nuccio and Christopher Nuccio; cherished grandmother of Brooke Nuccio (Tucker Burch) and Nicholas (Savannah) Nuccio.
For 20 years, Shirley was a paraprofessional in Summit School District 104.

Ronald A. Ryzner, 74, late of Orland Park, passed away on November 27.
He was the husband of Linda J. Ryzner; father of Allison (Nathan) and Kristi; grandfather of Ethan, Kaiden, and Quinn; brother-in-law of Steven (Debra), Bill, David, and the late Chet Jr.; uncle of many nieces and nephews; son of the late Adam and Virginia Ryznar.
Ronald was a retired Systems Technician from AT&T with many years of dedicated service.
Visitation was held on December 2 at Thornridge Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held on December 3 at St. Michael Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Chester Samocki, 88, of Lincolnwood, formerly of Darien, passed away November 27 at his home.
Chester was the beloved brother of Richard Samocki and the late Genevieve Samocki, late Cecilia Smuda, late Pearl Samocki and the late Virginia Kaspar; dear uncle of Mark Kaspar, Marie (David) Scheithauer, Matthew (Raul De Le Cruz) Kaspar. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Samocki.

Michael Joseph Ziemba, 80, died peacefully at home in his sleep on November 3.
He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Mike is survived by sons Bob and Mike; daughters Michelle (Steve Wascher) and R., former wife Barbara Ziemba; sister Irene Kuban; cousin Joseph Ziemba (Margaret), and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
