Woman charged with check forgery
Palos Heights police arrested Melon M. Keith, 47, of Chicago, just after 9:30 a.m. on June 22 in the 12600 block of Harlem Avenue and charged her with forgery after police learned she allegedly removed mail from mailboxes in several towns and reendorsed checks to herself and attempt to cash them, police said. A bond hearing was held on June 23 in the 5th District Municipal Court in Bridgeview.
In other Palos Heights police reports, Dorota M. Dworska, 41, of Burbank, was arrested just before 3:15 a.m. on June 23 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, improper lane usage and improper stopping on a roadway after police observed her stopped and blocking traffic in the 13200 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said. Her court date is July 11 in Bridgeview.
Catherine A. Dowling, 44, of Orland Park, was arrested just after 2:10 a.m. on June 24 and charged with DUI of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 or more and disobeying a traffic control signal after she was stopped for running a red light while in the 11800 block of Southwest Highway, police said. Her court date is Aug. 8 in Bridgeview.
Matthew J. Kleiman, 21, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested just after 2:35 a.m. on June 27 and charged with DUI of alcohol, driving with a BAC of .08 or more and improper lane usage after he was stopped by police in the 12700 block of Mobile Avenue, police said. He was also charged with speeding, according to the police report. His court date is July 25 in Bridgeview.
Roman L. Gomez, 20, of Chicago, was arrested just before 7:30 a.m. on June 24 and charged with speeding and driving without a valid driver
