
Man charged with drunken driving
Palos Heights police arrested Mark J. Chlebek, 26, of Oak Lawn, at 8:13 p.m. Oct. 25 and charged him with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, following too closely and no proof of valid insurance after he was stopped in the 11900 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is Dec. 7 at the Cook County 5th District Municipal Courthouse in Bridgeview.
In other Palos Heights police news, Suzanne Kalinowski, 22, of Palos Park, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Oct. 25 and charged with DUI, improper lane usage and speeding after she was stopped in the 7500 block of Route 83, police said. Her court date is Dec. 7 in Bridgeview.
Nicholas E. Brown, 22, of Chicago, was arrested at 3:51 a.m. Oct. 25 and charged with DUI, no proof of insurance, improper lane usage and speeding, police said. Brown was stopped for driving 45 mph in a 20 mph zone and for driving off the roadway in the 12200 block of South 76th Avenue, according to the police report. His court date is Dec. 7 in Bridgeview.
Estella L. Daniels, 21, of Summit, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. Oct. 26 and charged with driving with a suspended license, obstructing a peace officer, no proof of insurance and only one headlight illuminated after she was stopped in the 6300 block of Route 83, police said. At the police station, it was learned Daniels had provided a false name, according to the police report. Her court date is Dec. 7 in Bridgeview.
Fernando Espinoza, 23, of Alsip, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. Oct. 27 and charged with no valid driver’s license, operation of uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage after he was stopped in the 12800 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, police said. His court date is Dec. 7 in Bridgeview.
Incident reports
A man removed a large amount of cigarettes from behind a camera counter between 10:35 and 10:45 p.m. Oct. 24 at a grocery store in the 7100 block of West 127th Street, police said. The man was described as white, about 20 years old, wearing a leather coat and blue knit hat, according to the police report.
A wallet, credit cards and a GPS system were stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway of a house in the 12500 block of 69th Court between 9 p.m. Oct. 23 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 24, police said.
