Driver charged with DUI
Palos Heights police arrested Aron T. Krevitz, 40, of Orland Park, at 12:17 a.m. Nov. 13 and charged him with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and improper lane usage after he was stopped for swerving and striking a curb in the 12100 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 6 at the Cook County 5th District Municipal Courthouse in Bridgeview.
In other Palos Heights police news, Jennifer L. Madden, of Oak Lawn, was arrested at 2:49 a.m. Nov. 14 and charged with DUI, no insurance and no driver’s license on person, police said. Madden was stopped in the 11900 block of South Harlem Avenue for not wearing her seat belt in a seat belt enforcement zone, according to the police report. Her court date is Dec. 21 in Bridgeview.
Yousef F. Hirmiz, 19, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Nov. 15 and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and no rear registration light after he was stopped in the 11800 block of South Harlem Avenue, police said. His court date is Dec. 7 in Bridgeview.

Approximately $1,000 worth of tools were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 6700 block of Park Lane between midnight and 8 a.m. Nov. 14, police said.
Someone used a counterfeit $20 bill to purchase items at a business in the 11900 block of Harlem Avenue between 3 and 4:35 p.m. Nov. 14, police said.
The padlock of an enclosed automobile trailer was damaged between Nov. 8 and 15 in the 12400 block of Natchez Avenue, police said. Nothing of value was taken from the trailer, according to police.
