Bernadine Frances Kudia (nee Early), 96, passed away peacefully in Palos Park on January 9.

She was the beloved wife for 69 years of the late Edward Joseph Kudia, loving mother of Michael (Colleen), John (Lisa), Richard and Mark; always caring grandmother of Michael (Mickey), Kathleen, Frances (Joy), Shane, Madelyn and Joseph (Joey); loving brother Donald; her late sisters include Mary Briggs, Collette Rocke, Joan Early, Patricia Foster and Ann Mitsdarfer; and the late brothers Joseph, John, George and Robert; many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her backyard pool parties and afternoon celebrations usually involving home baked kolache.

Lawrence “Larry” J. Tomich, age 93, of River Forest, passed away peacefully January 10. Korean war era Army veteran.

Beloved son of Helen and Stephen Tomich; cherished brother of siblings who preceded him in death, Therese (Tomich) Veldman, Martin ”Buck” Tomich, John “Red” Tomich, Elizabeth (Tomich) Zolmierski, Paul Tomich (WWII) and Raymond Tomich. He is a lifelong parishioner at St. Joseph Parish in Summit.
